A full-time Occupational Therapist opportunity is available in an elementary school setting, supporting a specialized autism program. This contract position is scheduled from February 20, 2026, to April 27, 2026, with working hours from 8:15 AM to 3:50 PM, Monday through Friday, located in Elgin, IL.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services to an elementary caseload within a specialized autism program.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Perform assessments, document progress, and maintain compliance with regulatory and district requirements.
- Support students' functional abilities to enhance participation in school activities and promote independence.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license.
- Experience working with school-aged children, especially in autism spectrum disorder programs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with students, families, and school staff.
- Ability to follow structured routines and documentation procedures in a school environment.
